DRILLING SERVICES.

GEOTECHNICAL DRILLING.
Midwest Drilling can handle your project from beginning to end. We use two part field logs so you can receive samples and logs as soon as the last sample is taken. We have retained working relationships with many clients for fifteen to twenty six years and counting. Read more →
ALL TERRAIN DRILLING.
Midwest Drilling utilizes both truck mount rigs and all terrain rigs. This versatility gives us the ability to handle almost any project no matter what the ground conditions may be. Mountains… desert… forest… rocky… sandy… we’ve got it all under control. Read more →
ENVIRONMENTAL DRILLING.
Midwest Drilling has successfully completed numerous environmental projects in the past twenty eight years. We do not aggressively seek environmental work but do maintain equipment, personnel and necessary requirements to install monitoring wells. Read more →
MUD
ROTARY
DRILLING.
Mud rotary drilling method is used when drilling is below the ground water table or in unconsolidated material such as sand or gravel. By mixing bentonite with water the borehole can be advanced using a roller bit. The walls of the boring become coated with the bentonite “mud” and allow tooling to be placed in the borehole for sampling purposes.

HOLLOW STEM AUGER DRILLING.
We offer four sizes of hollow stem augers (HSA) from 2 ¼” I.D. to 6 ¼” HSD. HSA drilling is a multi-purpose method of advancing a borehole which acts as casing to keep walls of boring from sloughing into sample zones and seals off sediment that can impede the coring operation. It also allows installation of piezometer, monitoring well and backfill materials to a desired depth with accuracy. Read more →
WIRELINE & CONVENTIONAL ROCK CORING.
Rock coring can be used for a variety of purposes such as geotechnical engineering analysis, geologic information and mineral exploration. Rock is obtained by advancing a dual tubed core barrel with a diamond bit attached to the outer barrel. Water and high rotation speed advance the barrel through the rock. The inner barrel is “robbed” and placed in core boxes. Read more →EQUIPMENT & SPECS.
